This workshop is offered as a 2-day making opportunity to learn the basics of making 3D shapes out of willow, how to join them together and cover them with wet-strength tissue paper with the aim of making paper-covered carnival puppets. These can be lit from within for a beautiful show in the evening or painted for dramatic and characterful performances in the daytime

When finished, your bird will be attached to a willow pole, allowing the performer to let their bird soar and swoop above their head!
